WHITE BALSAMIC BASIL SAUCE

EXTRA VIRGIN LEMON BASIL CREAM 1

WHITE BALSAMIC BASIL SAUCE

A special sauce for savory or sweet dishes! Served cold!

Makes 2-1/3 cup dressing

1/4 c. fresh lemon squeeze

1/4 c. White Balsamic Glaze

1/2 c. Tofutti Better Than Cream Cheese

12 oz. container Tofutti Better Than Sour Cream

1/4 t. sea salt

12 lg. fresh basil leaves, coarsely cut


In clean food processor container place lemon juice, White Balsamic Glaze, Tofutti Cream Cheese, Tofutti Sour Cream and salt. Process till silky smooth.

Add cut basil leaves and process till leaves are chopped throughout dressing. Transfer to covered container and refrigerate till very cold – several hours.

When ready to serve: Combine dressing with salad mix. Gently toss.

Drizzle over your favorite roasted veggies like a gravy or toss to coat. Roasted beets, fresh Bing cherries, chopped fresh green pepper and onion and cashew crumbles worked well.

Or, serve over fresh cut fruit. I chose strawberries.
