BLACK & RED BARBECUE SAUCE

BLACK & RED BARBECUE SAUCE

Red Russian dressing and ketchup base with black strap molasses, brown sugar, Balsamic vinegar and garlic. Use wherever you need a barbecue sauce!

Makes about 1-1/2 cups

1/3 c. ketchup

2 T. prepared yellow mustard

1/3 c. Red Russian Dressing (for salads)

2 T. black strap molasses

1 T. Worcestershire sauce

2 t. liquid smoke

1/4 c. dark brown sugar

1/4 c. white sugar

3 T. Balsamic vinegar

1/2 t. salt

1 t. garlic powder

lots of freshly ground black pepper

Combine all ingredients in bowl, stirring after each addition and till smooth and evenly incorporated. Adjust for salt. Store in covered container in refrigerator till ready to use.
